Eat More Trees
The desert must be one of the least hospitable places a human being can live. However, our current way of food production is steadily pushing the soil towards desert. Has this always been the case or are there systems that work in the other direction? Time after time we come across the role of the tree and the combination of different vegetables, fruits and grains that make productive ecosystems more robust. Together we will visit the climax of nature on earth: the Amazon rainforest; only to discover that this was largely planted by mankind. Louis De Jaeger & Arne Focketyn made this film that tells a story of hope for the future

Mobutu's Game
Mobutu's Game is a political documentary thriller about the Congolese dictator Mobutu Sese Seko. Mobutu, a child of Belgian colonialism and the Cold War, managed to remain in power for 32 years by playing an extremely complex and well-thought-out political game.
In an ingenious way, he not only managed to maintain national unity in Congo, but also to serve the geopolitical and strategic interests of the West. He did this by building a dam against communism in Africa, but above all by safeguarding Western access to Congo's inexhaustible mineral resources.

2050
According to climate scientists, the year 2050 will be a tipping point in the history of our planet. As seawater slowly but surely warms up, the ice in Antarctica is melting before our very eyes. Adventurous Belgians have always felt a certain attraction to this gigantic ice sheet. '2050' not only tells the story of modern climate scientists at the Princess Elisabeth Base, but also catapults the viewer back to the year 1898, when Belgian explorer Adrien de Gerlache led the very first wintering mission to the South Pole with his ship Belgica.
Eric Goens, known from television programs such as “Het huis” and “Het conclaaf,” is making a name for himself as an international filmmaker with “2050.” Together with his crew, he braved temperatures as low as -30°C to film beautiful images of an icy landscape threatened by climate change.

Wim and his guest set off into the wide world without a plan and without haste, but with open arms for whatever comes their way.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
For eight episodes, documentary maker Eric Goens – at the request of the DJ brothers themselves – follows the duo to all corners of the world, until the coronavirus crisis abruptly hits the pause button. ‘I wasn't going to make a classic music documentary for their loyal fans, and Dimi and Mike knew that very well. I didn't want any taboos,’ Goens tells VRT NWS. And that sometimes results in particularly honest answers – alternating between English and Dutch – or scenes that the general public might not immediately expect from a world-famous DJ duo.
